An award-winning media powerhouse in the Greater Boston Area seeks an Accounting Associate to join their bright and passionate team. Responsibilities:
  • Utilize Workday financial system handles a variety of purchasing related tasks including requisitions, purchase orders, invoicing, credit details, vendor communication, and monthly purchasing card allocations
  • Work in conjunction with IT End User Support, maintains inventory and software asset management, manages end user accounts, and supports departmental and end user requests for equipment and peripheral purchases
  • Handle related information for monthly interdepartmental billing, to prepare for the monthly upload according to prescribed Accounting Department monthly close schedule
  • Serve as liaison to the Accounting department regarding departmental financial paperwork
  • Enter contractual documentation in foundation’ s database, obtains insurance certifications, and other contract related duties
  • Compile information and support the business unit in preparation of budget and financial reports

Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of work experience in finance and administration
  • Experience in accounting, purchasing and or billing related field where customer service skills were key
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to interface with a wide range of production and technology customers. 
  • Proficient in Excel and Word

Nice to Haves:
  • Business involvement in a production, IT or media related field 
  • Knowledge of Workday and FileMaker Pro or other databases 
  • Competence to multi-task, take initiative, work independently, and use creative problem-solving skills
  • Enthusiastic, dynamic, organized, analytical and collaborative
  • Capability to create and maintain a team spirit and harmonious working relationship
