An International Law Firm company seeks an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team on a contract basis; however, it has the potential to extend. Moreover, this is an exciting and new opportunity for a self-proclaimed go-getter looking to join a dynamic team.

  • Review costs of vendor invoices and employee reimbursements to ensure accurate coding and appropriate approvals
  • Prepare and process electronic payable files between various firm systems into the financial system and troubleshoots errors
  • Research and resolve accounts payable matters for vendors, attorneys, and staff 
  • Request W-9 forms from new vendors, add, modify, and close vendor profiles 
  • Process and assist with payment of A/P invoices firm wide as set out by established policies and procedures
  • Maintain and update spreadsheets for allocating expenses
  • Organize and maintain all accounts payable files
  • Assist with annual 1099 processes
  • Make suggestions to improve the accounts payables processes 
  • Assist in the development and implementation of technology driven improvements

  • Bachelor’ s Degree
  • At least 6 months of AP processing experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Proficiency in Excel 
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion
  • Outstanding sense of customer service

Nice to Haves:
  • 1 to 2 years of previous Accounts Payable experience in a law firm environment or professional services environment 
  • Knowledge of Elite 3E, Chrome River, and Global Exchange
  • Capacity to create and maintain a team spirit and harmonious working relationship 
  • Ability to multi-task, take initiative, work independently, and use creative problem-solving skills
  • Enthusiastic, dynamic, organized, analytical and collaborative
