This position stands on a contract basis; however, it has the potential to extend.   • Sort and distribute incoming accounts payable mail for approval
  • Review all incoming invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
  • Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms
  • Process check requests
  • Audit and process credit card bills
  • Match invoices to checks and distribute checks accordingly
  • Maintain 1099 tax forms 
  • Respond to all vendor inquiries
  • Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
  • Assist in month end closing
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policies and producers 

  • High school diploma 
  • 2 or more years of Accounts Payable experience
  • Strong accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, and data analysis 
  • Microsoft Office expertise (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Thorough knowledge of accounts payable, general ledger procedures, and financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
  • Capability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division quickly and accurately

  • Bachelor’ s Degree
  • Oracle experience 
  • Competence to multi-task, take initiative, work independently, and use creative problem-solving skills
  • Enthusiastic, dynamic, organized, analytical, customer-service oriented, and collaborative 
  • Capability to create and maintain a team spirit and harmonious working relationships
