Are you a master multi-tasker looking to expand your professional experience? A world class university seeks an Administrative Assistant to join their team on a 6-week contract basis. This opportunity is highly flexible, with part-time hours, about 15 hours per week. The individual in this role will assume responsibility of providing basic administrative support to the department of Communications, Marketing and Public Affairs. Additionally, this is an innovative opportunity for an imaginative, and exceedingly organized self-starter looking to join a vigorous, lively work environment. 

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and organize appointments, schedules, meetings, and events
  • Be the first point of contact for those who are entering and/or calling the office
  • Answer the telephone
  • Greet guest
  • Distribute the mail
  • Serve as a liaison for the university by answering queries

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma
  • Some professional administrative experience, filing, copying, scanning, etc
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly attentive to detail
  • Excellent customer relationship skills, must be diplomatic and tactful
  • Solid Microsoft Office expertise (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

  • University work experience
  • Interest in Marketing, Communications and Public Affairs
  • Enthusiastic, dynamic, organized, analytical and collaborative 
  • Capability to create and maintain a team spirit and harmonious working relationships
  • Competence to multi-task, take initiative, work independently, and use creative problem-solving skills
