A Civil Engineering organization seeks a highly motivated, growth-oriented Benefits Administrator to join their team. This position stands on a 2-month contract basis; however, it has the potential to extend or convert into permanent work. Additionally, this is an innovative opportunity for an imaginative, and exceedingly organized self-starter looking to join a vigorous and lively work environment. 

Responsibilities:
  • Process benefit documents and oversee approval workflows for benefit-related changes, including enrollments, terminations and post-employment benefit offerings
  • Research, analyze, and resolve benefit-related issues on behalf of employees 
  • Provide guidance to employees on their health and welfare benefits
  • Manage the accurate and timely updates of all benefit-related premium adjustments in Payroll
  • Respond to payroll inquiries as it relates to benefits and retirement deductions
  • Review and reconcile arrears and recycle reports from payroll
  • Upkeep applicable legal and regulatory changes, update internal policy and processes, and new system functionality

Qualifications:
  • 3 or more years of benefits experience
  • Bachelor' s degree
  • Involvement in a HR department and/or benefits department

Preferences:
  • 5 or more years benefits experience
  • Enthusiastic, dynamic, organized, analytical and cooperative
  • Capability to create and maintain a team spirit and harmonious working relationship
  • Ability to create and implement effective recruitment strategies to fill unique positions
