An advertising company seeks a Benefits Associate for a 6-month contract opportunity; however, this position has the potential to extend to permanent work. Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of Benefits Administration (Health & Welfare, 401K, a grand-fathered frozen pension plan, and voluntary benefits) 
  • Maintain paperwork and files for employee’ s benefits record
  • Conduct Benefits Orientation for new acquisition groups as well as one on one meeting’ s for executives
  • Provide instruction to employee/HR regarding the online employee self-service system
  • Answer Benefit Service Center hotline and/or check benefits emails 
  • Assist with open enrollment meetings and presentations
  • Review ADP weekly changes report 
  • Manually update benefit deductions with payroll as needed
  • Provide direction and support for disability related transactions 
  • Serve as a liaison with the applicable insurance carriers to resolve employee/dependent issues/claims or to execute a haste enrollment
  • Keep abreast of new or updated benefit rules and regulations
  • Create and generate PeopleSoft queries
  • Manage HIPAA compliance

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’ s Degree 
  • 3 or more years of experience in Benefits Administration
  • Knowledge of Health and Welfare Benefit Plans 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Attention to detail
  • Demonstrate the ability to provide great customer/employee services (phone/email)
  • Aptitude for learning internal systems, applications and internal processes
  • Practice with PeopleSoft Tools 8.9 or greater
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook
  • Knowledge of Vendor specific software applications (i.e. Fidelity - PSW, ADP - OBA, etc.)
