A dynamic software company seeks a talented and experience Category Manager to join their team on a 3 to 6-month contract basis. Moreover, this is a tremendous prospect for an initiative-taking, creative-thinking individual who is interested in driving change within an organization.

  • Select vendors and lead major negotiations to procure Technology categories
  • Drive and demonstrate P&L savings across spend categories, communicating results to executive leadership team
  • Conduct analysis of spending patterns for TCO savings opportunities across all categories 
  • Develop vendor portfolio, monitor internal compliance, and enforce standard terms and conditions
  • Review specifications, analyze market and select potential suppliers
  • Lead the RFQ/RFP process
  • Establish and enforce procedures to ensure proper procurement standards, processes and controls for the organization

  • Bachelor’ s Degree
  • 5 years of industry-related purchasing/sourcing experience
  • Ability and experience managing contracts across departments 
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Solid Microsoft Office expertise (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Highly attentive to detail 
  • Experience running competitive request for proposals 
  • Purchasing and contract renewal negotiations practice
