A national healthcare organization seeks a Director of Financial Reporting to be responsible for all aspects of the financial reporting matters. The position will oversee technical accounting and research related to a new  accounting standards. Additionally, this is a great prospect for an enthusiastic individual who is looking to work within a rapidly growing and innovative environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate reporting and filing of SEC reports such as Forms 8-K, 10-Q, 10-K, Annual Report and proxy statements
  • Facilitate and coordinate multiple deadlines, create cohesive teams and respond quickly to management requests
  • Complete quarterly and annual U.S. generally accepted accounting procedures (GAAP) disclosure checklist to ensure all required disclosures and accounting is considered
  • Administer 302 sub-certification process
  • Analyze, research and conclude on new and proposed accounting, reporting and disclosure standards Ensure compliance with all SEC, FASB and NASDAQ rules and regulations
  • Research and analyze the disclosures of competitors and industry trends
  • Lead disclosure committee meetings with investor relations team, leadership team and Internal Audit department
  • Write, implement and ensure effective and practical implementation of corporate policies and procedures

Qualifications:
  • Strong and extensive knowledge of SEC Reporting, U.S. GAAP, SOX and internal controls
  • Robust research skills and ability to reach well-reasoned conclusions on technical accounting issues
  • Ability to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects required and prioritize diverse tasks
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Leadership experience in organizing, planning and executing projects from conceptualization through implementation across multiple internal and external reporting and organizational lines

Nice to Haves:
  • Healthcare, Real Estate/REIT or hotel accounting involvement 
  • Experience with Workiva, Workday and Adaptive Insights
  • Competence to multi-task, take initiative, work independently, and use creative problem-solving skills
  • Enthusiastic, dynamic, organized, analytical, customer-service oriented, and collaborative 
  • Capability to create and maintain a team spirit and harmonious working relationships
