Are you looking to be a part of a team that deeply understands the root causes of social injustices? A well-known, national non-profit organization is looking to add an experienced Employee Relations & Compliance Specialist to their team. This position stands on a 3-month contract basis; however, it has the intention of converting into permanent work. The person this role will be the point person within the organization for all Employee Relations issues including performance issues, conflict resolution, and terminations. Moreover, this is a tremendous prospect for an initiative-taking, creative-thinking individual who is interested in driving change within an organization. 

  • Assist investigations and ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations
  • Lead internal employee trainings for a variety of topics as mandated by regulations and work on other projects as needed
  • Handle and resolve employee relations issues

  • Bachelor' s Degree
  • 3 or more years of HR experience
  • Extensive hands-on experience handling high volume Employee Relations issues including performance management and terminations
  • Involvement with a large organization with a multi-site, field-based employee population
  • In-depth knowledge of all state and federal regulations around employment law
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Skills:
  • Involvement with a large organization with a multi-site, field-based employee population
  • An HR background with a focus/expertise in ER
  • Enthusiastic, dynamic, organized, analytical and collaborative 
  • Capability to create and maintain a team spirit and harmonious working relationships
  • Competence to multi-task, take initiative, work independently, and use creative problem-solving skills
