Responsibilities:
  • Respond to triage, escalate issues appropriately, then diagnose and resolve customer support issues
  • Own the life cycle of incidents, requests, and problems for the client base
  • Mobilize internal support resources and work with vendors
  • Review trends in ticketing systems and work with groups to identify recurring or potential problems
  • Assess the need for new solutions on an individual and large-scale basis
  • Plan and schedule installation and deployment projects
  • Help  with root cause analysis and problem management
  • Manage the overall scope, quality, and effectiveness of documentation as it evolves

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’ s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of relevant technical, business, and leadership work experience
  • Proficient with supporting Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android platforms – diagnosing and resolving problems across software, hardware, and managed service product lines
  • Experience with Endpoint management services and tools (SCCM, Casper, Active Directory, VMWare preferred)
  • Knowledge of common IT ticketing platforms (ServiceNow preferred)
  • Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to independently resolve escalated customer complaints
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have:
  • Experience with ITIL and Agile practices/methodologies
  • Experience with Linux (Ubuntu, Solaris)
  • Past work experience within Higher Education
