Are you highly motivated and detailed? Are you looking to expand your abilities to fast-paced company? A financial services organization seeks a Grant Manager to serve as primary contact for North America grant-making committee. This position is on a 8-month contract basis; however, it has the potential to extend. Additionally, this is an exciting and new opportunity for a self-proclaimed go-getter looking for an innovative environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Respond to programmatic and technical questions, and manage regional grant approval workflow
  • Manage grant operations, review and update operating procedures, and make recommendations for streamlining and improvement
  • Support execution of ad hoc grantmaking programs including strategic donations, disaster relief, and employee recognition grants
  • Execute grant payments globally
  • Support Foundation impact metrics collection and analysis and follow up with grantees regarding overdue final reports
  • Generate ad hoc reports, and facilitate the development of new reports and functionality enhancements
  • Prepare annual tax filing and audit reports 
  • Work with the Finance Manager to reconcile grant data with accounting records
  • Track grant-making budgets and proactively manage offices to ensure they meet approval deadlines
  • Review and make recommendations on subset of the Massachusetts’ grants portfolio
  • Schedule and attend site visits and nonprofit meetings

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’ s degree in a business-related field
  • Experience managing a database and supporting general office operations
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills 
  • Capacity to create and maintain a team spirit and harmonious working relationship 

Nice to Haves:
  • Prior involvement in the financial services industry or in a nonprofit or foundation setting
  • Experience working on a global team
  • Community-minded individual with knowledge of philanthropic programs and grant-making knowledge 
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task, take initiative, work independently, and use creative problem-solving skills
  • Enthusiastic, dynamic, organized, analytical and collaborative
