A Civil Engineering company seeks a bright and passionate Human Resources (HR) Generalist to join their team! Responsibilities:
  • Provide HR guidance to employees on company policies and procedures and reinforcement of SGH values and culture
  • Support COO and HR Manager in corporate efforts and programs related to employee engagement, morale, and retention
  • Coach and advise managers on issues affecting individual performance
  • Partner with HR Manager on complex disciplinary issues, investigations and all separations
  • Oversee employee separation process
  • Conduct exit interviews
  • Draft policies and interpret current policies in day-to-day work with employees
  • Supervise corporate new hire orientation and on-boarding processes
  • Partner with HR team on projects and collaborate on ways to improve HR processes and procedures

Qualifications:
  • 8 or more years of experience
  • Bachelor' s Degree
  • Experience with a highly-educated employee population
  • Strength in employee engagement, employee relations and coaching managers
  • True generalist background

Preferences:
  • Involvement in an engineering company
  • Multi-state HR practice
  • Some talent acquisition experience
  • Competence to multi-task, take initiative, work independently, and use creative problem-solving skills
  • Enthusiastic, dynamic, organized, customer-focused, analytical, and collaborative 
  • Capability to create and maintain a team spirit and harmonious working relationship
