Are you looking to expand your professional experience to a different industry? A large commercial construction company seeks a Payroll Manager for full-time work. This is a newly created position, one that has excellent exposure to executives, including the VP of HR and Controller. Moreover, this is an innovative opportunity for a dynamic, and exceedingly organized self-starter looking to make an immediate impact. 

  • Help automate transnational activity
  • Ensure correct integration of systems
  • Support the preparation of documentation of payroll and benefit processes
  • Supervise payroll and benefits administration staff
  • Guarantee accurate and updated payroll records 
  • Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages
  • Balance the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies weekly
  • Manage the year-end adjustments, incentive payments, and W-2 processing and balancing

  • 7 or more years of payroll experience
  • 3 or more years managing the function with direct reports
  • Prior benefits and supervisory involvement
  • Excel proficiency
  • Proficiency with Payroll software and experience with implementing Payroll software as well as system conversions
  • Deep understanding of multi-state and payroll laws and regulations 
  • Ability to handle confidential and proprietary information appropriately 

Nice to Haves:
  • Construction or related industry knowledge 
  • Union experience
  • Payroll certified (CPP)
  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills
