A world class university seeks a Program Officer to join their team on a 1 to 2-month contract basis! The individual in this role will provide overall management, recruitment, and coordination support. Responsibilities:
  • Develop and adapt fellowship curriculum and training materials 
  • Coordinate development and management of program work plans, convening and documenting regular meeting minutes, and maintaining organization of training resource
  • Lead recruitment activities for global health student practicums and fellowship training 
  • Manage overall recruitment process
  • Organizes admissions committee meetings
  • Serve as the primary point of coordination for all matters related to student training activities 
  • Maintain up to date alumni portal information as well as training program mentor and faculty
  • Facilitate the design and analysis of training program evaluation 
  • Lead the development of training program reports including data analysis of training program evaluation activities and donor reporting

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor' s degree 
  • 1 to 2 years of related experience in – Program Management, Grants, Development, or Project Management
  • Ability to manage grants and donor reporting requirements or similar experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook) 
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly attentive to detail 
  • Enthusiastic, dynamic, organized, analytical and collaborative 
  • Capability to create and maintain a team spirit and harmonious working relationships
  • Competence to multi-task, take initiative, work independently, and use creative problem-solving skills

Preferences
  • University work experience
  • Master' s degree in education or public health
  • Exposure to education/academia, training, global health or health research
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of competency-based training
  • Experience with NIH funded training programs
  • Experience supporting " distance education" trainings, including logistics and telecommunications, and working knowledge of " distance education" platforms
