A university seeks a talented and experience Vice President, Fiscal Affairs and Controller to provide leadership and oversight for financial, audit, tax and regulatory compliance, and investment functions.   • Assist the Executive Vice President and CFO and other senior leaders in the formulation of operational policies, strategic initiatives, and the day-to-day management of financial opportunities and challenges 
  • Develop and monitor the financial policies, procedures, systems, and processes
  • Provide direct leadership and supervision over the general accounting/financial reporting
  • Stands as the primary resource with respect to technical accounting (GAAP and regulatory) and tax guidelines
  • Lead the college’ s annual and capital budget preparation, implementations, monitoring and reporting. Provide long-term resource planning, costs analysis and review
  • Manage financial projections and resource allocations
  • Oversee banking, availability of funds, and the billing and collection of student tuition and fees
  • Direct the completion of annual audits and outside regulatory reviews

  • Bachelor’ s degree in business administration or accounting
  • Master’ s degree with concentration in finance or accounting
  • CPA 
  • 10 years of experience in positions of increasing fiscal responsibility in non-profit accounting or control
  • 6 years of management of direct reports
  • Prior executive presence 
  • Budgeting, Forecasting, Audit involvement 
  • Technical Accounting practice 
  • Proficiency in non-profit accounting with a knowledge of GAAP
  • Highly attentive to detail 
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Solid Microsoft Office expertise (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • In-depth knowledge of principles, practices and theories related to budgeting and financial analysis in ever-changing environment
