Are you highly motivated and detailed? Ready to join a fast-paced organization? A VP of Operations Finance to monitor and improve the performances of the hotels. This individual will work and partner with the Directors of the full-service hotels on the property, accounting practices, balance sheets, and internal controls at the hotel. Moreover, this is a tremendous prospect for an initiative-taking, creative-thinking individual who is interested in driving change within an organization. 

  • Direct the hotel operations finance functions, including shared service functions
  • Develop and implement finance policies and procedures that support the company’ s global strategies and programs
  • Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs, strategies, and regulatory impact
  • Develop and advise on revenue generation, cost management, and reimbursement strategies
  • Prepare comprehensive periodic reports of the financial results of the company’ s managed hotels in established corporate formats and accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
  • Formulate regular forecasts, annual operational and capital budgets 
  • Coordinate the hotel operating budgets and capital expenditure plans 
  • Monitor hotel Directors of Finance development progress 
  • Provide mentorship to hotel Directors of Finance and their Finance Department team members
  • Lead the Finance Training Team for new hotel openings and takeovers 
  • Prepare financial pre-opening budgets, staffing guidelines, property and design reviews, working capital requirement forecasts and with other project requirements for regional hotels

  • Bachelor’ s Degree in Hotel Administration, Business Administration, and Accounting
  • 15 or more years as financial leader in full-service property environment with decentralized property accounting functions
  • Ability to maintain good relationships with all departments in the hotel, corporate and owners to promote effective internal control and financial advisory role
  • Capacity to communicate and the commitment to follow all local and corporate policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of all jobs in Accounting, Procurement, Systems Management and Food and Beverage Control areas
  • Knowledge of hotel accounting and other systems (i.e. OPERA, Micros, SpaSoft, etc.) and general business systems (i.e. Microsoft Office and Outlook, financial reporting, etc.)

Nice to Haves:
  • Master’ s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting 
  • Additional experience with centralized shared-services
  • Capability to analyze recruitment metrics and design strategies based on outcomes
  • Competence to multi-task, take initiative, work independently, and use creative problem-solving skills
  • Enthusiastic, dynamic, organized, analytical and collaborative
